The discipline, plainly explained

Bug Sweeping

Bug sweeping is the working name for a privacy sweep: the systematic search of a space for the listening devices, hidden cameras and transmitters that were never meant to be found. It is the one security discipline that protects the asset no firewall can reach, which is the conversation itself.

A professional sweep is not a gadget waved around a room. It is a sequence: the radio spectrum examined against how the space should behave, the physical fabric searched by hand, from furniture to fittings to the voids above the ceiling tiles, and the systems that legitimately live in the room, conference units, telephony, cabling, inspected in place, because the best hiding spot for a microphone is inside something that is supposed to have one.

What turns up is rarely cinematic and often decisive: a transmitter in a power strip, a modified conference phone, a camera the size of a screw head. What matters as much is the confidence a clean result gives: boards, counsel and families who can speak freely because someone checked, recently and properly.

We have practised this discipline across Asia since 1992, under a method we publish rather than promise: Detect, Defeat, Nullify. The full service, engagement types and fee logic are set out across this site; the shortest path is a conversation.
