Executive Residence Inspection
The office has access control, sweep schedules and a security team. Home has houseguests, contractors, staff turnover and a Wi-Fi network configured years ago. Anyone targeting you knows which to choose.
Why residences are the soft target
Principals conduct their most unguarded conversations at home: calls taken in the study, deals discussed over dinner, family and succession matters that will never be minuted anywhere. Yet the residence typically has none of the office's protections, and far more uncontrolled access. Domestic staff, tutors, drivers, decorators, AV installers, pool and garden contractors all pass through, often unescorted, often for years.
The consequences of residential surveillance also extend beyond commercial loss. Covert cameras in private spaces create extortion and reputational exposure that falls on the family personally. In contested matrimonial and inheritance matters, residential surveillance by opposing parties is a pattern we encounter repeatedly across the region.
What an inspection covers
- Principal residence interiors, studies, bedrooms, living areas, dining rooms and home offices, for covert audio and optical devices.
- Smart-home and network infrastructure: routers, cameras, voice assistants, home automation and their configurations, the fastest-growing leak path in modern residences.
- Staff quarters, guest rooms, garages and service areas through which devices and access typically arrive.
- Telephone systems, intercoms and residential conferencing equipment.
- Holiday properties, serviced apartments and pieds-à-terre across the region, inspected to the same standard.
- Vehicles kept at the residence, commonly bundled with our Vehicle Inspection service.
Conducted without disturbing the household
Residential work demands a different kind of discretion. Inspections are scheduled around the family's movements, during travel, or in coordination with a single trusted point of contact, and can be conducted under a domestic cover such as an insurance survey or AV upgrade. Household staff need not know an inspection has occurred; in matters where staff themselves are a line of inquiry, that separation is essential.
Findings are reported to the principal or a nominated adviser only. Where devices are found, we preserve evidence to a standard that supports whatever follows, police referral, civil proceedings or quiet resolution, at the family's discretion, not ours.
